Both had a groupon 2 course offer of carvery and sweet. My wife's food had to be warmed up as most of the vegetables was luke warm the stuffing was rock hard.and the beef on both our plates was not eatable
This was a present from our so and was very disappointing and would not return .

Fantastic place. Would definitely stop again. If going on a Sunday di ner time hectic you have to remember they serve meals to public too. We had our meal 6.30 plenty food, quieter had a few drinks all reasonable priced. Bedroom clean and comfy

Nice standard carvery fayre. Chef on station really friendly and seemed proud of his work. Rating let down because my wife asked for a vegetarian carvery option but was not.given the meat free option.

Staying in the area. Booked via phone no problems. Food was nice. Very polite staff. Only criticism was as it was busy only 1 person serving at the bar but apart from that no problems at all

Absolutely dog shit customer service was absolutely awfull we was infront of the Que for about 20 minutes waiting to get served they brought our Coke at the end my meal worst carvery I’ve even had in my entire life not even an exaggeration!!!!!!!!!

We visited as a couple for our tea. Not very busy, we had carvery with a bottomless Pepsi. Meat was nice and tender, some of the vegetables being refreshed, but there was still plenty of choice. With the carvery you can go XL which gives you sausages and extra meat or vegetarian. The XL is £1.99 extra & vegetarian £1.99 cheaper.

Lovely first time experience…don’t recommend the Lemonade refill drink wasn’t nice and the pigs in blankets needed to be cooked more other than that all the veg tasted amazing and staff are nice

I can not thank Judy enough we have a autistic grandson and he is used to seating at table 15 but unfortunately that table was not available and we was seated at table 19 which are grandson was not happy about but due to the amazing customer service that Judy shows she could see he wasn’t happy and spoke to him and moved him to another table which he was very happy with Judy is as always amazing with him we cannot thank her enough

Toby Starvery! We booked food for takeaway on their website, everything available, tick tick, nice and easy. All paid for up front. This was about 90 minutes in advance. Upon arriving to collect I was told there was no meat. Ok so why hasn't anyone called me on the number I provided when ordering? Oh apparently that number doesn't go to the pub - or anyone vaguely useful who might need it. Not sure where it went. Possibly sat in some marketing database ready to be sold on to other meat and potato related companies?
Anyway, I'll just grab a quick refund and be on my way. Afraid not, we'll need to take your phone number (again) and call you back tomorrow. It's all just a bit weird to be honest and not at all what you need on a Saturday night with my poor starving family sat at home weeping, when's Daddy coming back, doesn't he love us anymore?
I ended up driving down the road to Wingfield Farm who were very welcoming and provided me with some lovely carvery and the self esteem I needed to go back home and face my wife and child. Thank you Wingfield Farm.

So visited this morning for two adults and one child . I don't go to Toby very often and I have never been to this Toby before so I don't know if what we experienced was the norm. We were told when paying for our breakfasts that there were some dishes that were waiting to be brought out and that it would be 5 minutes . Maybe we have just been lucky with our local Toby where the food is always there ready for you and always fresh and cooked very well . This place just had a weird feeling to it as it looked run down from the outside aswell as the inside and the food which came out scattered and not cooked to what we are used to at our local . The floors in the lady's were sticky and were greeted by a lovely log in the toilets . The guy would served us at the bar was pleasant enough but didn't feel a warm friendly welcome .Wouldn't recommend and don't think we will be back .

Sarah the server was fantastic and so attentative. She went above and beyond making sure we had the best service. Chris was a lovely chef and very polite. To be honest on this visit I couldn't fault anyone and the food was cooked perfectly. Lesley was so lovely to talk to and really helpful. Thank you 😊

We had a table booked for 7 pm. We arrived 45 minutes early. This was not a problem to the manager who welcomed us in a friendly manner. We were shown immediately to a table and offered drinks. We had carvery, my wife having turkey and gammon for myself. Sean was serving the food. He was friendly, extremely welcoming, and during our chat, he told me how much he loved his job which was great to hear. The food was excellent and the overall service experience was most enjoyable.
